HARLEY QUINN-ccentric Songs from #SuicideSquad

“You Don’t Own Me” by Grace featuring G-Eazy (not official MV tho) - begins this particular post featuring music videos with Suicide Squad’s HARLEY QUINN front—n-center! Critics can slam the movie for all it's worth, but the presence and impact of Harley cannot be denied, especially for THIS generation of folks, IMHO.

In an age where a murdering mercenaries like "Deadpool" gets the thumbs-up from impressionable viewers, characters like Harley might well prove to be a "heroine" to many a folks grappling with similar toxic relationships and reactions to the real world, so do not take for granted the imagery, and even songs related to her ... but of course I sound like a fossil from the previous generation (twice removed), innit?

BACK TO THE TUNES!

From Avril Lavigne comes “Bad Girl” (MV below), featuring Marilyn Manson - which to me a quite a grab for the headlines, as they are titans from an earlier generation, and inserted to perhaps pacify said generation? LOL

The MV directly featured above is “Gangsta” - performed by Kehlani - with the track heard in the sequence where “Harleen Quinzel” (pre-“Harley Quinn”) jumps into the chemical vat, and The Joker jumping in after her (bootleg footage feature below). "Inane" dialog to most adults, no doubt... but mayhap emotionally meaningful to the "now"?

I am not here to judge. I don't need to judge. :)

J: Question. Would you die for me?
H: Yes.
J: That's too easy. Would you... would you live for me? Hmm?
H: Yes.
J: Careful. Do not say this oath thoughtlessly. Desire becomes surrender, surrender becomes power.
J: You want this?
H: I do.
J: Say it. Say it. SAY IT!
J: Pretty (x7) please.
H: Please.
J: Aww god you're so GOOD.
